Stopping FAQ calls from drowning out real buyers

A demonstration of how an inbound voice agent can intercept thousands of repetitive FAQ calls, allowing the human sales team to focus entirely on ready-to-buy customers.

The Challenge

E-commerce teams frequently handle thousands of inbound calls a month, where roughly 60% are the same repetitive questions: store hours, return policies, stock checks, and basic order tracking. The other 40% are real buyers with money on the line, but they end up sitting on hold while sales reps answer basic questions.

What Was Designed

Adaaapt builds voice agents that front the customer-care line. Grounded in the company’s website, FAQ page, and product catalogs, the agent answers standard questions directly and naturally. Crucially, the moment the agent picks up real buying intent, it executes an immediate handoff to a human salesperson with the full context attached.

How It Works

The deployment includes a customer-managed knowledge base. Every question the agent is asked is logged, and the client can edit answers in three clicks without needing a developer in the loop. The agent absorbs the bulk of the FAQ traffic, while real buyers reach a human instantly.

The Results

Sales teams stop being interrupted by FAQ calls. Real buyers reach a human faster because the human team is no longer drowning in repetitive questions. The agent handles the noise, and the humans handle the revenue.

Lessons Learned

Providing the client with an easily editable knowledge-base sheet is essential. It prevents the agency from becoming a bottleneck and empowers the client to own their automated support tier completely.
